🇨🇦Alberta's newly minted Premier Danielle Smith has announced that there will be massive, rapid changes to who is managing health care in the province.
Smith will replace Alberta's chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, and recruit a new team of advisers in public health that considers COVID-19 to be an endemic disease, not a pandemic.
She also repeated a pledge to review the leadership of Alberta Health Services (AHS) by the end of 2022.
"I want our front-line healthcare workers to know that reinforcements are coming," Smith said. "We cannot continue understaffing our hospitals and then forcing our front-line workers to work mandatory overtime and be called in on days off and have to cancel their holidays."
As the world grapples with a shortage of healthcare workers and professional burnout, Smith says Alberta won't have any vaccination mandates, which will help attract employees to the province.
Smith has been deeply critical of the Kenney government's use of public health restrictions during the COVID-19 crisis. She has pledged to amend the Alberta Human Rights Act to add vaccination status as a ground subject to protection from discrimination.
"They have been the most discriminated against a group that I've ever witnessed in my lifetime," Smith said of unvaccinated Canadians at the press conference.

Inspirational.
We take a break and take a tour of the island with our friend John. He shows us the local specialties and all the food that grows native to the island. The first stop was a view point of Soufriere Bay and the beautiful Pitons.
Next we stopped in Marigot Harbour and enjoy how much food is growing everywhere. Nearly every tree produces food. We find Coffee and cocoa plants off to the side of the road.
Toraille Waterfall is our fist tourist site where we find a lush environment and a beautiful waterfall. Sine would call the water cold, we call it refreshing! We had a quick visit at the falls and then headed a natural sulfur spring.
The Soufrier Springs is a remnant of a volcano and it’s best feature is the ability to take baths in it. We relaxed and rejuvenated in the hot pools. We met some great people while we where there and had a great time. It is definitely worth the visit!
We stopped at Banana plantation where they made ketchup and BBQ sauce from bananas… Brittany is allergic to tomatoes, so this was a very special and tasty stop.
We then get a message from our friend Terry that the boat was hauled out and the saloon sole was nearly finished.
We go to the boat yard and check out the boat while it is out of the water. We finally get to see below the waterline and survey the keels, look for the rudders, and see how much more repairs are needed before the boat will be ready for us to take delivery.
The Salon Sole is finished and Terry did a fantastic job on the work and created extra space with new custom floor hatches!

Time is short. What is your life? It's even a vapor that appeared for a little time and then vanished it. The wave. If I told say if someone had told me when I was 20 years old, that life was very short. And would pass just like that. I wouldn't have believed it. And if I tell you that you don't believe it either, I cannot get young people to understand how brief life is. How quickly it passes.
It seems like yesterday I was in school. Every one of us here has been given the same amount of time in a day. 1,440 minutes a day. 106 to eight hours per week. 70 years, God allows us. And it's interesting to me with all of our medical science, we've never passed that magic mark. The average American male today lives 70 years. And four months, the average female, 73 years and six months. More people live to be 70. But the average age of an American is still 70. As taught in the scriptures. What a thing it is when you think that you have just one short life to spend and it'll soon be over. I'd write down my priorities in life and I'd get committed to certain priorities.
Now is the accepted time, the things we ought to do, the classes we ought to take the books we ought to read. Do it. Now. The family that needs you spend more time now. Write that letter home. Now that you've been meaning to write. Money. You ought to give, give now time for study, do it now. people you ought to witness to do it. Now. Every time the clock ticks, it seems to say, now today, if you will hear his voice, there may not be a tomorrow feed. And for me, because there's a warning to time. Time is running out for all of us. Time is too short for in decision and vacillation. Do not halt between two opinions. Fools say the time is long.
Every morning we have 86,400 seconds to spend and to invest. And each day the bank named time opens a new account for you. And for me, it allows no balances and no overdrafts. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. The Bible says redeem the time because the days are evil and the days in which we are living are very evil. If there was ever a time for the gospel that can transform the human heart it's. Now. Jesus said, as long as it is day, we must do the work of him that sent us the night is coming. When no man can work. The night is going to come in your light. Yet there was a serenity about the work of the Lord. Jesus. It's the quality of life, not the length. Jesus only had 33 years and it ended on the cross. To the world. He was a failure at that moment yet at the end of his life, he said, I finished the work that thou gave us me to do it doesn't matter whether you live another year or two years or five years, will you don't work be finished?
Is there a quality to it? Is there a dedication to it? Suppose all of our members tie their time to witness for Christ. As we tie our income for the church. Fill your heart with the word of God I found that those who know the scriptures are the ones that have the power today. We need men and women who walk with God.
And if you do that, you too can finish the work that God gave you to do and help us to realize the brevity and the urgency of time. And may we invest what little time we have. In the kingdom of God.
