I think it's super important for Protestants to understand what Catholics ACTUALLY believe ... and vice versa. So this is one of my attempts to help you understand this difference between us. One of the big things is that when we say we "pray" to Mary or the saints, we do NOT mean it in the sense of worshiping them, but in the other dictionary definition, which is "to ask." Worshiping Mary or the saints is heresy.

I specifically chose II John because, to be honest, I'm not all that familiar with it. Sure, I've read it a number of times, but it has never really impressed me, isn't one of my favorite books (Philippians, James, Isaiah, Proverbs, Psalms), and I couldn't have even told you what it was about -- although I know enough about the Apostle John to have guessed that it had something to do with LOVE.
