It may look like this is over close to the middle. It's just because I'm still learning to edit. Hold on, there's a lot more, with what I think will be very helpful suggestions.When people say that you're "too sensitive" how are you supposed to take that? It's a nebulous accusation that leaves you feeling like you've done something wrong, with no way to resolve it, except to fake it. How can you work through this for yourself and figure out a plan of action?PLEASE NOTE: I'm not a doctor or a psychologist. One thing I didn't mention in the video. People who say "You're too sensitive" tend to say it forcefully. To those who are sensitive, that can come across as authoritative, and we feel like we have to believe it. Remember that something said louder or stronger is not truer. It can also make you feel backed into a corner. (I'm trying to avoid the word "bullied," but that's what it feels like.) All those feelings make it difficult for a sensitive person to think clearly and defend themselves (even to themselves).I've also found that people who say I'm too sensitive are looking to "fix" me in other areas. They're often bossy, though I don't think they see themselves that way. It usually boils down to them thinking that I should be like them. And while that's a fine personality for them, it's not me, and NOT who I want to be. It's exhausting to be in those kinds of relationships and will not be good for you in the long run. Since you can't magically become less sensitive -- and really, would you want to?* -- the only way you can get along with those people is to fake that you're not hurt. Just let them emotionally beat you up. In the long run, that will destroy you. It's inauthentic and you're experiencing and holding in a lot of hurt unnecessarily. You also can't really expect them to change. It's like the boys who like to have fights on the playground. They really enjoy it, and they don't feel bullied by each other; but some other kids would. They will not enjoy being around you if you're authentic. It genuinely offends them that you feel hurt.*Yes, you get hurt easily, but that's just the other side of the coin. Think about the good parts of being sensitive -- you're kinder to people, you empathize, etc. I hope this helps. I'd love to hear more of your experiences and how you've learned to handle this. It was December 14. I'm just not thinking clearly right now.

Trading Freedom - Turning In Your Bill Of Rights for What?
Today, we have a government official (of some sort) processing the paperwork for a man who wants to turn in his personal rights and freedoms. Why would he do that? I know this may seem a bit less on the goofball side. I have been wanting to do a piece to highlight the similarities between our world today and that of the free Israelites who were choosing subjection to a king. Samuel received the word from God Himself. He told them of all the dangers, all of the effects of putting that much power under a ruler. Even so, the people said, "Give us a king."
"So Samuel told the people what the Lord had said:
“If you insist on having a king, he will conscript your sons and make them run before his chariots; some will be made to lead his troops into battle, while others will be slave laborers; they will be forced to plow in the royal fields and harvest his crops without pay, and make his weapons and chariot equipment. He will take your daughters from you and force them to cook and bake and make perfumes for him. He will take away the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his friends. He will take a tenth of your harvest and distribute it to his favorites. He will demand your slaves and the finest of your youth and will use your animals for his personal gain. He will demand a tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. You will shed bitter tears because of this king you are demanding, but the Lord will not help you.”
But the people refused to listen to Samuel’s warning.
“Even so, we still want a king,” they said, “for we want to be like the nations around us. He will govern us and lead us to battle.”

May God have mercy on our country. This is my appeal to my friends and family. We can "get through this" but not by repeating all the hypnotic phrases that we have been served by the media and entertainment propaganda houses. It takes a break away, a casting down and casting out of these manipulative tactics of political elite and their servants.
I believe smile can break the strong mind-hold that culture has on the people right now. It takes a brave heart and a resolute mind to journey into new ways of looking at our country and the factors that we truly fight against. Fight with all your spirit through prayer and fasting. I love having Bill tell stories about the history of Chester River Knitting Company. We wanted to share some of these with you. Here he begins telling about his and Beth's involvement with Cambodians when Chester River Knitting Company was Patterncraft. As many of you know, my late husband, Bill Ruckelshaus, knitted sweaters on vintage hand-operated knitting machines for over 40 years. His sweaters were sought by people all over the world who appreciated his quality and the longevity of his sweaters. He used natural fibers such as wool, cotton, linen, camel hair, alpaca, and silk, as well as many others. He knit classic styles which would be appropriate for years and could be made trendy with accessories. Tragically, he was killed in an accident on his way to Maryland on July 14, 2019. I've created a Facebook group in which you can learn about his sweaters, the art which may possibly have gone to his grave with him, more about this wonderful man (I'm not at all biased), and have the opportunity to purchase some of his sweaters, if you'd like. (I have to sell them as part of his estate and would love to have them bought by people who would appreciate them.) Feel free to invite your friends. Welcome to the video series to study of "Kingdom Now: Pursuing Unity in the Body of Christ to Change the World." This video introduces Lesson 6. Scriptures referenced in this video:Eph. 4:11-1318John 20:20-23John 8:1-11Please note: We didn't realize until we were recording this that we had very different views on John 20:20-23 and that I really don't feel comfortable endorsing the view Pat expressed. This is an example of how we can have differences of opinion about things, especially unclear verses in Scripture, but still love one another and work together for the furtherance of the Kingdom. My belief on this is that not every believer is given the authority to forgive or not forgive in such a way that those positions are reflected in Heaven. Rather, I believe that authority was given first to the Apostles and then to those determined to carry on their ministry by the laying on of hands. My concern is that the belief that "any Christian can offer absolution" would mean that a less mature Christian could keep someone from being forgiven in Heaven. Rather, Jesus would have entrusted this responsibility to those who are proven in their godliness and maturity, approved by the laying on of hands. I also became Catholic since recording this with Pat, and I have to say that the Catholic view does exactly what we were looking for: It cultivates a culture of grace, accepting that we all sin, sin is taken seriously, we confess to a priest (and in the Mass, we confess generally to one another), who lovingly takes it very seriously, and we receive absolution (and sometimes counsel). Either view (Pat's or mine at that time) could be perceived from reading this verse. What do you think?
