Please also consider sharing in the comments the things that the Holy Spirit points out to you as you study along. You have different things going on your life than I do, so He may highlight different areas or give you different insights.Please understand (this is really important) that I'm not saying truth is relative or that the truth is different for each of us. What I'm saying is that there is sooo much truth in God's Word that none of us has the capacity to highlight all of it at once, and God makes some parts more clear to us or more important to us, depending on where we are at the time and what He wants to show us.

There are a few different cover options, so I'll send you to one and you can go from there: https://amzn.to/2LMjWG0 This link will take you to an imitation leather cover. I don't recommend the hard cover. This is a book you will be writing in -- that's the purpose of this particular study Bible -- and it's hard to write in a hardback book. Likewise, a paperback will not hold up to a lot of writing. If you can't afford the imitation leather, I would personally recommend the paperback as it will be easier to use than the hardback. You'll just have to replace it sooner, probably, and that's not the end of the world, right?

As I said, I don't recommend the pens I was using. They're just what I had immediately available. AND if using something that's not ideal is going to get you studying the Bible, then by all means, use what's less than ideal. But if possible, for the long-term, I recommend using highlighters that are made especially for the thin pages of the Bible and which you'll be able to write on top of. If you're journaling, write about each of the verses we talk about. Ask God to show you how they apply to your life. He WILL show you, just be patient. These may seem like a haphazard selection of verses, but they will form the undergirding of the story.

Try personalizing the verses, too, as I showed you previously.

Verses to look up, write, and journal on before the next lesson. Remember to read their context:
Genesis 22:1-14
Joshua chapters 3 and 4
Jeremiah 29:4-14
Isaiah 54:4-5

When you look up these verses, I'd recommend reading the entire chapter, so you can get them in context. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to what HE wants you to see. Be prepared to share those insights in the comments on the next video. You'll bless others by doing this and it will help you to solidify what you're learning.

As a bonus, choose two of the verses we've looked at so far and think, pray, (and preferably journal) about how those verses relate to each other and to your life.

⁣Have you ever struggled to get a certain result you want?


It may be easier than you think to make small changes in your behaviors so you can finally get what you want.


This is where NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is so effective.


NLP is actually the study of successful people and then modeling them to get desired results.


For example, Thomas Edison was asked how he felt about “failing” 10,000 times before he discovered the lightbulb. And he responded that he didn’t fail, he just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.


It’s all about HOW we look at things. And if we shift the way we look at things, we then change our actions and behaviors to make it easier to get what we want.


And the pattern always seems to be reframing thoughts and putting everything in a more positive light and then taking more positive actions.

I've been facilitating a small group in studying this wonderful book. It's a simple small group study to do and doesn't need a teacher, just someone to facilitate. In fact, in my group, the last two lessons have been facilitated by two of the members who have done an outstanding job. Now, when I say the study is simple, I mean straightforward.
